MARQUETTE, Mich. – (WJMN) – When Northern Michigan University’s Wildcats team welcomes the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs on Saturday, December 4th, fans have a chance to get in on the action and bring some fun to those who don’t care. others in the community.

Northern Michigan University has partnered with the NMU Athlete-Student Advisory Committee and Mining Magazine Cheerleading Club to toss the annual Teddy Bear Toss during the first pause in hockey. request on Saturday.

In 2020, a record 623 bears and stuffed toys were given away in a teddy bear toss event in the parking lot of the Berry Events Center.

“The annual Teddy Bear Toss is so important to local families and provides an opportunity to make a positive difference,” said the Athletics Director.
