Taylor Swift makes her appearance on the Eras Tour in a cleaning van
Taylor Swift’s epic Eras Tour – with its next-level production on the outrageous scale of a Las Vegas residency – can cost mega-millions.
But apparently the 33-year-old pop superstar is coming onto the massive catwalk stage in some rather trashy fashion.
Viral videos — captured by attentive fans at Swift’s weekend shows at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas — appear to show the “Shake It Off” singer being wheeled onto the stage while hiding in a cleaning cart with mops and brooms .
Swift sings, dances and makes over a dozen costume changes in over three hours.
She is also part of the cleaning crew!
Of course, Swifties have been buzzing on social media with this latest revelation about their idol, who is known for hiding Easter eggs in her songs.
“Imagine your job at the era [sic] Tour THAT have to push Taylor Swift around in a cleaning van??? Imagine the pressure and meaning????!!” tweeted one fan.
“Not to mention these are the cleanest mop heads I’ve ever seen…” tweeted another fan.
This isn’t the first time Swift has been rumored to be using an unusual mode of transportation.
It had previously been claimed that she was traveling in giant suitcases while being carried around by her security team.
In a 2018 interview with British Vogue, Zayn Malik, a former One Direction heartthrob — and former Swift collaborator — even claimed “she traveled around in a suitcase” to avoid the paparazzi.
With all the magic she pulls off on her Eras Tour — including daring stunts like diving into an onstage trapdoor and seeming to swim across the stadium — Swift is clearly a master of illusion. So it’s hard to fool her.
So when the 52-day trek — which continues Thursday in Tampa, Fla., before arriving at MetLife May 26-28 — comes to a stadium near you, keep an eye out for the on-field janitors .
