Sylvie Gatrill dead – Brookside, The Responder and Bread star dies as tribute to ‘true legend’

TRIBUTES is in full swing following the death of TV legend Sylvie Gatrill.
Casting agent and actress who starred in BrooksideRespondent and Bread, died over the weekend.
It is believed that she has cancer, echoes of Liverpool report.
Sylvie is in the process of filming the fantasy movie Wings, which is due out this year.
Tony Schumacher, writer of Liverpool-based BBC drama The Responder, posted: “So sorry to hear of the passing of Sylvie Gatrill is quite remarkable.
“Such a talented actress who was so important in helping set the tone of The Responder.
“My thoughts are with her family.”
STAR DIES
Sylvie plays Mrs. Cullen in Bread. She has also performed in Brookside and Little Boy Blue, about the murder of 11-year-old Rhys Jones.
Tony Nyland, her co-star in Bread, said: “I have just heard the sad news that the lovely, talented Sylvie Gatrill has passed away.
“Sylvie and I had a great time playing Edith and Hesketh Cullen in the BBC series Bread.
“My deepest condolences to her family and friends.”
Elsewhere, Sylvie runs the talent and training company Allstars Casting.
The company represents actors, women and models from Liverpool.
‘LOVE AND TALENTED’
One of their performers, AJ Jones, said: “What a special lady.
“Taught so many kids from our city at her agency, Allstars.
“Helped us get our first credits and trained us for the professional life.
“Her legacy will live on through all of us she inspired and taught!
“A true Liverpool legend! RIP Sylv.”
And Paul Carmichael said: “Absolutely shocked to learn that Sylvie Gatrill has passed away.
“Meeting her on Hope Street is always an absolute pleasure.
“A true legend and I consider myself lucky to have known her. RIP.”
