Strictly 2022: will the celebs be paid to attend?

Unlike other reality shows, including i am a celebrityevery star that signs up Strict receives the same flat fee for the gig and cannot negotiate with the producers.

According to a 2021 report in The sunevery celebrity gets £25,000 just for appearing.

It turns out there’s more incentive to stay in the competition to the end – not only could you win the honor of taking home the Glitterball trophy, but the fees are said to increase to £40,000 if you make it to the end of October.

The last couple of last year – EastEnders‘Rose Ayling-Ellis, BBC breakfastby Dan Walker, Great British Bake-Off Star John Whaite, CBBC’s Rhys Stephenson and TV personality AJ Odudu – have reportedly earned £60,000 for a place in the quarter-finals.

Contestants are reportedly earning a further £15,000 if they reach the semi-finals (giving them a total of £75,000), with the eventual winner reportedly earning £100,000.
