Stillwater Medical Center uses disaster management procedures

STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) – Stillwater Medical Center administrators have put in place disaster procedures to deal with low staffing.

Hospital officials say they are seeing a record daily number of patients, a condition exacerbated by a record-high number of healthcare workers contracting COVID-19.

Disaster protocols allow Stillwater Medical to consolidate resources and reassess procedural schedules to help meet staffing needs.

The Omicron variant has caused a massive increase in COVID-19 cases statewide and nationally.
