Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss checked into the motel the day before the body was found

Stephen “tWitch” Boss reportedly checked into a motel just a day before his body was found.

Boss, who died by suicide at the age of 40, reportedly checked into a motel less than a mile from his Los Angeles home Monday morning, TMZ reported.

Motel employees told the outlet that Boss “did not appear to be in any kind of distress and was not visibly upset about anything.”

He reportedly brought only a small bag and booked the room for one night.

The DJ reportedly missed his checkout on Tuesday and tricked staff into going to his room – where they found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the bathroom.

Employees told TMZ no one heard gunshots at the motel.

Boss’s wife Allison Holker, 34, confirmed his death in a statement obtained by The Post.

“It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that my husband Stephen has left us,” she said. “Stephen lit up every room he walked into. He valued family, friends and community above all and guidance with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father and an inspiration to his fans.”

Holker reportedly frantically ran into an LAPD station and said her husband left home without his car, which she claimed was different from his, according to law enforcement sources.

Police later received a call about a shooting at an LA hotel, where they found Boss with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Ellen DeGeneres also expressed her sadness at the loss of Boss, who was Ellen’s sidekick as a DJ on her daytime talk show.

“I’m heartbroken,” DeGeneres said in a statement obtained by The Post. “tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox and Zaia.”
