Hollywood co-stars and friends exchanged heartfelt words this week about actress Anne Heche, calling her a “terrific artist” and mother – as her loved ones prepare to take her off life support following her car crash in Los Angeles last week .
The 53-year-old “suffered a serious anoxic brain injury” and is “not expected to survive” after her car drove into a Los Angeles home and burst into flames last Friday, her rep said.
As news of her poor recovery worsens, Heche’s 13 Minutes co-star Peter Facinelli and other colleagues paid tribute to the Emmy-winning actress.
“Praying for you and your beautiful family,” the 48-year-old actor wrote on his Instagram Story alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of the pair.
Heche’s ex-boyfriend James Tupper expressed his “thoughts and “prayers” for Heche in a statement to the Daily Mail.
Tupper, who dated the actress from 2007 to 2018, called Heche “one of the true talents of her generation.”
He also shared a snap of Heche with their 13-year-old son Atlas.
“Thoughts and prayers for this beautiful woman, actress and mother tonight Anne Heche we love you,” he wrote.
Heche’s most famous ex, Ellen DeGeneres, sent her well wishes to the actress earlier this week.
“I don’t want anyone to get hurt,” the comedian, 64, told photographers, according to the Daily Mail on Monday.
“Fringe” and “Oz” star Kirk Acevedo also sent his love to Heche’s family. tweet, “My heart beats for the children of Anne Heche. No child should lose their mother so early.”
Meanwhile, the creator of the “Final Destination” franchise, Jeffrey Reddick, wrote“It’s so tragic. I see a lot of nasty comments.
“For those people, just understand that people you know are struggling with addiction are listening. You tell them they can never talk to you about their problems or ask you for help.”
Actress Rosanna Arquette took to Twitter to express her sadness at Heche’s current condition.
“I am very upset and sad that Anne Heche is unlikely to live,” she said tweeted. “And yes, she would have been arrested for driving under the influence and putting lives at risk.”
“She’s still a great artist and has struggled with her addiction. This is terribly sad for her children and her friends,” she added.
Actress Joely Fisher responded to the tweet with a photo of her and Arquette with Heche. Write“Let’s remember her like this.”
Earlier this week, scandal-ridden actor Alec Baldwin paid tribute to the “brave” and “wonderful” Heche.
“Please join me in sending my support and love to the wonderful Anne Heche,” Baldwin said in an Instagram video to his 2.4 million followers on Saturday afternoon.
“I love you Anne – I love you. And I think you’re such a talented person and I hope everything’s okay,” he said of the star, who was filmed speeding through the quiet streets of LA before the inferno.
“I’m sorry this tragic thing happened to you and I send you all my love, OK?” he said of his troubled co-star.
