Stanley Cup trophy for Colorado Avalanche hockey captain Gabriel Landeskog delivered to wrong Denver home

The trophy landed in a house next to Colorado Avalanche Captain Gabriel Landeskog’s home.
Landeskog’s neighbor Kit Karbler got an unexpected surprise when he saw a delivery man with a large package on his doorstep.
Karbler said he recognized the black chest from the NHL finals game.
The delivery man then realized it was the wrong house but let Karbler touch the trophy anyway.

“My address is one digit away from the actual shipping address,” Karbler said. “The Stanley Cup was right in front of me.”
“I said, ‘Can I look at it? Can I touch it?’ And he said, ‘Sure,'” Karbler said.
The trophy finally made it to the right house and was displayed on the streets of downtown Denver ahead of Thursday’s official Stanley Cup celebratory parade.
“This is a unique opportunity,” Karbler said.
