Spring couple murdered: The trial of Khari Kendrick, 1 of 3 suspects charged with execution-style deaths in 2018, continues

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The trial of one of three suspects charged in the gruesome 2018 murder of a Spring couple continues Monday.

The beginning of the process in this case waited a long time.

The couple’s son Richard has campaigned for justice on behalf of his parents.

Khari Kendrick is scheduled to appear in court again on Monday. Kendrick is one of three men charged with capital murder accused of the gruesome murder of a 61-year-old Spring couple.

In January 2018, Jenny and Bao Lam were found tied up in their home and both shot execution-style.

Richard said he hopes the evidence in the case will lead to convictions and some justice for his family.

“They have to think about what they did behind bars for the rest of their lives. They can think about it no matter how long they live. I don’t think they should take to the streets,” Richard said.

The trial resumes at 8:30 a.m. in the 182nd Court
