Spotify Wrapped is back this week and we’re excited!
Described as a “deep dive into the music and podcasts that defined your 2022,” subscribers experience their personalized music dates.
The app shows the user’s favorite songs, artists, podcasts, and genres over the past year, as well as the number of minutes you’ve spent listening to music on the app, and the overall mood of your music. They’ll even tell you if you’re in the top 1 percent of fans of your favorite artists.
Last year, Spotify surprised users, who were among its top listeners, with videos of artists thanking them for their support.
The data, which is normally released around December 1st, also releases more general information on the most played artists around the world, as well as the most popular artists and albums in the UK.
It was recently announced that Wrapped would stop recording their music data for the current year starting around October to give the company time to prepare the Wrapped curations.
This suggests that music you listened to after October 2022 is not included.
Here’s how to access your personalized Spotify Wrapped when it’s ready:
You must be a Spotify subscriber to have a Wrapped curated for you.
Those who have subscribed to the app can view your Wrapped later this week by logging into your app and clicking here (on desktop) or search for “2022 Wrapped” on mobile.
Once you’ve opened your Wrapped, you can share your results on social media. The app allows you to post on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and TikTok.
