Sparks fly in Rangers’ Key Game Win 3

Podcast of the New York Post Rangers

We have a series ourselves.

After losing their first two games in Raleigh, Rangers returned full force to the Garden on Sunday, defeating the Hurricanes 3-1 to go on a 2-1 series. The Blueshirts now have lives after struggling mightily to score in the first two games. Igor Shesterkin was brilliant and fans gave Rangers some juice as they even watched the series at home on Tuesday night.

To talk about the big win in Game 3 and give a preview of Game 4, we bring you a new episode of the Up In The Blue Seats podcast with Ron Duguay and Mollie Walker.

Up In The Blue Seats Podcast with Ron, Mollie, Jake & Andrew

  • MSG VIBES: Some empty spaces in the lower level at the beginning but later filled up. The goal in the first half was key to bring some life into the building. Ticket prices were cheaper than any other playoff game.
  • MAX DOMI’S CHEAP SHOT: There might be a transmission effect in Game 4. Reacting to Gerard Gallant’s post-game comments. They’ll probably send Ryan Reaves out early to send a message. It was an ultra cheap shot because it scored against an injured Ryan Lindgren.
  • COACH GALLANT: Jack Adams Award nominee. He totally deserved it this season. Ron remembers playing with him and his chirping and attitude as a player. Gallant made some lineup changes that worked well. Faceoffs continue to be a big fight for this team.

Larry Brooks Interview:
Post Hall of Fame hockey columnist

  • DOMI: The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Expected to take place in playoff series. Gallant is angry because it happened to Lindgren.
  • LINEUP CHANGES: Surprised, Filip Chytil was moved up, but moving him and Copp up lit the line.
  • GALLANT: Jack Adams finalist and the season he put together.
