Son of WWE and ECW legend, Taz’s Hook, makes his wrestling debut on AEW Rampage

All Elite Wrestling commentator Taz was a proud man on Friday when his son Hook made his ring debut on AEW Rampage.

The human jigsaw who made a name for himself in ECW before joining WWE and eventually become part of the SmackDown announcement group with Michael Cole until his departure in 2009, there was a very special moment when he commented on the boy’s big night.

Hook looks great with the weight of the world on his shoulders, not only from his famous father but also under the pressure of a fan base that expects excitedly to see him in the ring.

However, he certainly impressed when he faced Fuego Del Sol in a superb match that highlighted his skills as a striker and submissive artist.

He got his time to shine here and made the most of it, eventually winning with Tazmission as a nice nod to his father.

In response to a clip of his boy entering, Taz tweeted: ‘Sooooo proud.’

The tiara even provided a stunning call to Taz’s own cause as they chanted ‘Hook is gonna kill you’, as the legendary star added: ‘It’s a myth to hear… It’s been YEARS for me and I don’t hear that. Surrealism. Lol (sic)’

Meanwhile, AEW boss Tony Kahn confirmed Hook was officially signed by AEW following the incident.

He tweeted: ‘It’s official! Welcome to the team, @730hook and congrats on your amazing first win on #AEWRampage tonight! ‘

Hook was referring to his debut, which saw him featured on Action Bronson’s track The Chairman’s Intent.

Reflecting on his first match, he said Pitchfork: ‘Honestly, it’s as hard as f**k. It’s tough, man. I am very excited. I felt like I could run through a brick wall before getting out there. Is there Action Bronson for my New York debut? It’s really surreal. ‘

He added: ‘With that and the New York vibe, I have a feeling that my dad would love it too. When I showed it to him, he liked it. ‘
