BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil (Reuters) – Brazilian league champions Atletico Mineiro beat Red Bull Bragantino 4-3 on Sunday in a day as they celebrated last week’s championship in front of an ecstatic home audience in Belo Horizonte.
Atletico won their first championship since 1971 last Thursday and 62,000 fans turned up to watch them accept the trophy.
They enjoyed a horror game with seven goals as four different players hit the home team, with Hulk, Keno, Jefferson Savarino and Federico Zaracho all scoring.
Ytalo got one and Artur Guimaraes scored a brace for Bragantino.
With one game left of the season, Atletico have 84 points, 13 points ahead of second-placed Flamengo. Bragantino is sixth with 53 points.
