Snowy owl rescued from New Hampshire road – CBS Boston

LANCASTER, NH (CBS) – An injured Snow Owl was rescued in New Hampshire on Tuesday, and will be rehabilitated so it can be released back into the wild.
A passerby in Lancaster spotted the injured owl on the road.
An animal control officer was able to catch the owl before it sustained further injury. It will be evaluated by a rehabilitation center and then released.

With the return of the Snowy Owls, it’s important to remember to keep a safe distance, said the US Fish and Wildlife Service northeast branch.
Anyone looking for this creature should use zoom lenses, binoculars, or scopes so they don’t disrupt the owl’s normal behavior.
Never feed a bird, and if you see one injured, contact wildlife officials immediately.
