Long-range weather forecast for December 6-15
The Met Office has said it will be a cold and frosty December.
“A chilly start to Monday with frost and overnight frost is possible,” they said.
“Clouds rise in from the west throughout the day with a break in rain, possible winter lows at times in the north and east of the UK.
“Likely to turn stronger winds during the day with strong winds most likely to the west.
“For the rest of the time, turbulent weather prevails with spells of wet and windy weather, alternating with sunshine and showers.
“There may be more prolonged rains, sometimes heavy. Initially these are more likely to be south and west, although the greatest risk could be shifting northward during the period, which could then see rain turning to winter.
“It is generally cold, with milder periods alternating briefly in the south. Frost overnight and patches of frost can penetrate. “
