Snow Squall May Affect Drivers in Southeast Minnesota

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A warning for motorists in southeastern Minnesota.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Special Weather Notice” due to a snowfall that could affect roads in the area through Saturday morning:

“Light snow is currently moving into southeastern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin. Visibility will drop to 1 mile or less at times when the ice is passing. A layer of snow up to 1/2 inch thick is expected until 8am. Untreated roads will quickly become covered with snow and slippery. If going this morning, slow down and exercise extreme caution on snow-covered roads.”
