SNL: Prince Andrew roasts with Saturday Night Live in ‘Weekend Update’ segment

Saturday night live was aimed at Prince Andrew, following news that the Duke of York had deleted Twitter account.

The royal family is currently facing a civil lawsuit over an allegation of sexually assaulting a teenager (Andrew has denied all allegations).

He was recently stripped of all his military ranks shortly after a judge ruled that the trial would proceed.

SNLalluded to the allegations in the process”Weekend update“Segment of last night’s episode (January 22), with the host Colin Jost made a joke around Andrew’s deleted Twitter account.

He quips: “This week, Britain’s most eligible bachelor, Prince Andrew, officially deleted his Twitter account… after he realized it wasn’t an app for everyone. Even the teenagers danced.”

The app Jost is referring to is probably Tik Tok, a video-sharing platform popular among teenagers and members of Generation Z.

Elsewhere, the long-running US sketch show also featured a skit in which Pete Davison played Novak Djokovic, the World No. was recently deported from Australia amid outrage over his anti-foreign views.

SNL airs every Saturday night on NBC in the US. In the UK, new episodes are available on NOW and Sky Comedy.
