Florida artist SkyDxddy just released their latest track “Hold Me,” a song dedicated to members of the LGBTQ community struggling with mental illness and self-doubt. The song details SkyDxddy’s battle with depression and what it feels like when close friends and family ignore early cries for help.
“’Hold Me’ is a song I wrote at a dark time in my life. There was a moment when I tried to speak up for myself and I was met with judgment and sarcasm,” says the gender-diverse musician from a small town in Virginia. Billboards. “I really just wanted to be hugged while I cried and said I would be fine, and that never happened. No one should be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t love all parts of them, even the broken ones. “
