Six injured in late-night mayhem in New York, police say

Four people were shot dead and two others stabbed overnight across the city, police said.
In the latest shooting, a man was shot in the stomach on 44th Avenue and 111th Street in Corona, Queens, around 4:50 a.m. Saturday, police officers said. Two unknown suspects ran away. The victim, whose age was not given, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.
Earlier, a 30-year-old man was shot in the left leg in the Bronx at 4:30 a.m. on West Fordham Road and Major Deegan, police said. The victim was taken to St Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, police said. The suspects sped away in two separate vehicles, authorities said. There are no arrests.
Around 9 p.m. Friday, a 42-year-old man was shot in the right hand and grazed a woman in the right thigh on East 118th Street in East Harlem by a gunman wearing “all green clothing,” the NYPD said. The man was taken to Harlem Hospital and the woman refused medical treatment, police officers said.
According to first responders, two people were reportedly stabbed in the Bronx early Saturday. An NYPD spokesman could not immediately provide information about the incident.
