Macca will be headlining the Glastonbury Festival on June 25th, just days after celebrating their milestone birthday on June 18th.
And sources say there are now industry talks that the prestigious honor is in the pipeline – 25 years after he was first knighted by the Queen.
He would join a very exclusive selection of musicians to be offered such a prestigious title.
They include theater mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber, 73, the late composer Benjamin Britten and the late violin virtuoso Yehudi Menuhin.

His knighthood was upgraded five years ago to include Sir Paul in the even rarer Order of Companions of Honor – of which there are only 61 living members, including Sir Elton John, who was added in 2020.
A source said: “Paul already belongs to an exceptionally exclusive group of people at the top of the honor system.
“There is now a quiet talk among officials about how to celebrate their 80th with something really special. The idea of offering him a chance to sit in the Lords as a cross-benchmarker has been mooted.
“He has been an incredible service to British culture so it could be a very fitting tribute and token of everything he has done for his country.”
