Simon Cowell has attacked “boring politicians” and compared them to a children’s choir Britain’s Got Talent.
Cowell said a choice for children is emerging BGT has a “stronger message” to deliver than politicians.
The Armed Forces Children’s Choir performed during Tuesday’s (31st May) episode of the hit ITV reality competition ahead of Sunday’s (5th June) grand finale.
After the choir – made up of children whose parents are in the armed forces – performed, they received praise from the judges.
Cowell told the group: “You were all amazing. I keep in mind that all of your mothers and fathers are in the armed forces, which is why this choir has come together.”
He continued, “When you think about what’s happening in the world right now with the anniversary, it’s so interesting how a bunch of really talented kids can send a stronger message than a bunch of boring politicians.”
The children’s choir of the Bundeswehr was invited to the competition Britain’s Got Talent after Coweell visited her during a rehearsal.
Britain’s Got Talent returns on ITV on Wednesday at 8pm. The grand finale will air on Sunday (June 5).
