Shooting at Six Flags Great America Illinois, three shots

Three people were shot dead Sunday night at Six Flags Great America amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois, park officials said.

Shots were fired from a lone vehicle in the car park before it sped away just before the park closed at 8pm, a park spokesman told The Post.

Park security personnel and officers from the local Gurnee Police Department substation responded to the scene.

Two people were taken to a local hospital while a third refused treatment.

Her condition was not immediately known, but a police source told WGN-TV that the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Video Park guests were shown on social media crouching and hiding in the moments after the shooting.

Another clip showed a heavy police presence in the parking lot during the mass exodus of guests.

The incident happened at Six Flags Great America theme park in Gurnee, Illinois.

The park, located about 40 miles north of Chicago, closed early as guests and team members were evacuated by the Gurnee Police Department. Police have not yet commented on the shooting.

Authorities told WGN-TV that police are still searching the area to ensure all guests and staff are recorded.
