Shocking moment delivery driver Yodel ‘had a parcel stolen by camera’ as he delivered another package

SHOCKING footage shows the moment a Yodel delivery driver shows up to swipe a parcel with expensive perfume – while delivering another package to the same home.

The driver was delivering a package to Wazeer Hussain’s home in Birmingham when his eyes were drawn to another package hidden behind a crate of cakes.

He bravely picked it up, then showed up to check on CCTV, before ringing the doorbell to deliver the intended package to the unsuspecting homeowner, who had no idea he was holding it. a package that he allegedly stole.

The driver took a picture of the delivered package, while the other was still in his hand.

What the driver didn’t realize was that the apparent theft was caught on both the clear Ring doorbell footage and also the CCTV camera.

Yodel immediately launched an investigation when it came across the footage and said it had taken “appropriate action” and that the incident “clearly did not meet our high standards”.

Mr. Hussain, 38, told The Sun: “This is completely outrageous. It’s a disgrace. He was caught red-handed.

“It’s brazen. But it’s also stupid. I have CCTV and a doorbell camera. The perfume is worth about £80.

“It was sent by Royal Mail and I have proof that it was accompanied by a photo. So I know someone took it.

“I checked the footage and couldn’t believe it.

“It’s not real. He needs to be fired.”

A Yodel spokesman commented: “We take the driver’s behavior very seriously and this incident clearly did not meet our high standards.

“We have taken appropriate action against the driver following the investigation and are in contact with the customer to apologise.”

Yodel did not say what “appropriate action” was taken.
