Shocking images of flames from the boardwalk hotel fire in Camarillo, California engulfing 4 stories and fears the building could collapse

A MASSIVE fire engulfs a four-story hotel under construction in Camarillo as a main street is closed amid fears of the building collapsing.
Shocking photos of the boardwalk fire show plumes of smoke from the blaze — which can be seen across Ventura County.
Police had previously requested that the 101 be closed in both directions due to the raging fire.
The northern lanes of the freeway have since reopened. Southbound lanes remain closed in Las Posas, according to tweets from the Public Information Officer for the Ventura County Fire Department.
It was also reported that power lines in the area have been secured.
The Ventura County Fire Department tweeted that six ladder trucks from VCFD, Oxnard and Ventura City Fire continue to put out the blaze with “large amounts” of water.

The fire consumed the hotel on Ventura Boulevard near the Camarillo Premium Outlets.
Dozens of shops and restaurants are adjacent to the hotel. It is unclear whether other structures are affected.
No injuries were reported.
The dual alarm fire remains an active scene.
The fire was initially reported on the second floor of the hotel. But it quickly spread to the third and fourth floors.
Firefighters switched to defensive operations as they got the fire under control.
