Sharon Osbourne supports Elon Musk’s plan to lift Trump’s Twitter ban

Sharon Osbourne has expressed her support for Elon Musk’s plan to lift Donald Trump’s Twitter ban.

The tech billionaire, who recently bought the social media platform, condemned the decision to ban the former US President from Twitter, calling it “morally bad”.

Trump was “permanently suspended” from Twitter in January 2021 “due to the risk of further incitement to violence” after calling the hundreds of supporters who stormed the US Capitol on Jan. 6 “patriots.”

In a new interview with TMZOsbourne announced that she supports Musk’s intention to restore Trump’s account once the Twitter deal is finalized.

“If they have the Taliban and the guy running Iran, they might as well have Trump,” she said.

Asked if she thought the polarizing politician had a “right” to speak out on Twitter, Osbourne replied, “Everyone has a right, even the Taliban.”

She also claimed that she didn’t think Musk’s motivation for reversing the Twitter ban had anything to do with money.

“I love Elon so I have nothing bad to say,” she added.

Almost a week after contracting Covid and sharing a bedridden photo, the talk show host gave an update on her current health and said she feels “like s***”.

While she said husband Ozzy “still tests positive,” she is confident he will make a full recovery.
