On August 31, it was confirmed that Ruby had been arrested on two counts of serious child abuse. Her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt was also arrested on the same charges.
According to reports, the Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department announced it was briefed Thursday of a distressed child who called a neighbor for help. The youth was “emaciated and malnourished, with open wounds and tape on his extremities.”
The evidence led officers to a nearby home, where another youth was found in a similar condition and taken to hospital. Shari, the eldest daughter of Ruby and Kevin Franke, broke her silence on Instagram and spoke of “justice being served”.
Shari shared a picture of a police vehicle and wrote, “Finally.” In another post, she wrote, “Today was a big day. My family and I are so glad that justice is being served. We’ve been trying to tell the police and CPS about this for years and are so glad they finally decided to step in.”
