Severe weather possible due to potentially damaging winds – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A strong cold spell will leave Maryland with a chance for severe storms Saturday night.
Strong winds can start at 4pm. Forecast SW winds for the day range from 15-25 MPH with gusts close to 40 MPH. NW Winds is expected to hover between 25-35 with recoil near 55 MPH.

A Wind Advice will be in place from 4 p.m. Saturday night to 1 a.m. Sunday for the State of Maryland.

Although strong winds are the main threat to potentially severe storms, the possibility of isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

The high will come in the low 70s and potentially surpass the current record of 69° at BWI.
