A MAN has been found guilty of murdering his wife and children before living with their bodies for weeks, but there are more chilling details.

Anton Todt was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole on Thursday.

He was also sentenced to one year in prison for the dog’s death.

His trial ended this week more than two years after his family’s bodies were found.

The bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition and one of his sons was partially mummified, police said.

BENADRYL OVERDOSE

Police reported that Todt was attempting to overdose on Benadryl when they entered the home during social screening where they found the bodies.

According to autopsy reports, Todt also apparently used Benadryl to carry out the murders of his family.

At the time of his arrest, Todt’s neck showed a long scratch and his hands were covered with blisters and lacerations.

KILLED TO ESCAPE THE “APOCALYPSE”.

Immediately after his arrest, Todt informed detectives that he and his wife had agreed to kill their family so they could “cross over” together when the apocalypse hits, the AP said.

Todt said the two thought the apocalypse was imminent.

Speaking before the Osceola County Courthouse on the apocalypse allegations, Assistant District Attorney Danielle Pinnell claimed Todt wanted control over the lives of his wife and children Orlando Sentinel reported.

However, assistant public defender Alesha Smith told jurors that Todt’s wife was actually the one who killed the children.

“He came home and his kids were dead, his wife was alive but basically she was dying and she stabbed herself in front of his eyes,” Smith said.

Smith said the state “essentially chooses when it wants you to believe Mr. Todt and when it doesn’t.”

The jury ultimately sided with the prosecution, with Pinnell concluding, “There is no reasonable doubt in this case.”
