AJ Odudu will finally get to perform her last ever performance on a live UK tour next year.
The 33-year-old TV presenter and her professional partner, Kai Widdrington, broke down in tears when it was revealed that they had been forced to withdraw from the finals of the dance competition after Odudu suffered an ankle injury.
It means she never has to perform her routine in Naughty Boy’s Runnin’.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood, who directed the tour, said: “I’m extremely disappointed that AJ and Kai missed out on the Serious Final.
“But audiences on the arena tour will enjoy a lot, as they’ll get to see the performance that AJ and Kai will be performing on Saturday night.
“Plus, all the other celebrities and pros have planned some a-maz-ing – it’s going to be awesome!”
The tour will also feature Strictly 2021 champion actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and her partner, Giovanni Pernice, and runner-up, Bake Off star John Whaite and professional dancer Johannes Radebe.
Dragon’s Den stars Sara Davies and Aljaz Skorjanec, TV presenters Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, and CBBC hosts Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu from this year’s lineup also joined the tour.
As well as their performance, AJ and Kai will also be performing a smooth American dance during the tour.
Rose and Giovanni will dance to their emotional couple’s chosen routine, which will include 10 seconds of silence in tribute to the deaf community, as well as an Argentine tango.
John and Johannes will re-enact their dramatic con and their final performance with Florence + The Machine’s You’ve Got The Love.
Sara and Aljaz will perform a quick dance and a foxtrot, Rhys and Nancy sing Charleston and Argentine tango, and Tilly and Nikita play the waltz and the couple’s choice dance from Revolting Children from the musical Matilda.
They will be joined by The Wanted singer Max George, who has competed on Serious in 2020 and will be returning to the dance floor for a live tour with a new professional partner, Katya Jones.
In addition to the couples’ choreography, fans will also enjoy the unique group performances of professional dancers.
Professional dancers Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Neil Jones, Jake Leigh, Cameron Lombard, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal will all perform in the glitzy ballroom, which will feature live music by serious singers and bands.
The live tour jury will include Shirley Ballas, Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli, who have been absent from the series recently due to uncertainty over travel restrictions between the UK and the US, where he is. lives and is also a judge on the American series Dancing With the Stars.

The 33-show tour will kick off in Birmingham on January 20 and end at London’s O2 Arena on February 13.
