Tom, 33 years old, who was diagnosed with a terminal illness last year – has received aggressive chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

The star was told he has grade 4 glioblastoma and the plan will only extend his life, with a life expectancy of 12 to 18 months.

Surprisingly, after six rounds chemotherapy and 30 sessions of radiation, Tom was able to reveal that his outlook is significantly more positive.

Things have improved so far for the singer as he was able to take the stage with his bandmates The Wanted on Tuesday night’s Seriously The Real Full Monty.

Fans were “sobbing” at his surprise appearance on the show, and took to Twitter to celebrate seeing the same Tom as his old self once again.

One fan wrote shortly after saying: “Seeing Tom’s face so precious being in Real Full Monty for Tom makes me sob.

A third agreed: “I cried at The Wanted on Real Full Monty? Yeah. Was it because they couldn’t believe it? ABSOLUTELY.”

“Literally crying. Tommy, you’re our superhero,” agreed the fourth, as the fifth concluded: “Definitely not just tears when Tom started talking.”

Others praised the performance and encouraged singer Tom that he “looks and sounds great” on the song.

Last month, Tom delighted his fans by revealing the incredible news that his The brain tumor is “under control” following his treatment plan.

Posting on Instagram, he shared a photo with his wife Kelsey and their two children with the caption: “I’m sitting here and in tears as I tell you.

“We’ve got my brain tumor under control. We’ve got the results from my most recent scan… and I’m happy to say it’s STABLE.

“What a mix of emotions. We couldn’t ask for more at this point; a year or so for this journey.

“Honestly, we can sleep a little easier tonight. Thank you for all your love and support over the past 12 months.”

The Bolton – who has a daughter Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, 11 months, with Kelsey – said in the TV documentary Inside My Head in October: “You will always be seen as equipment From the beginning to the end.

“They give you a survival time of 12 to 18 months. But that’s the general statistic. Everyone we spoke to was far, far beyond that.

“Now, we’re aiming to be cancer-free by March. That’s the goal. This disease is always there.

“You can have leftover cells that are dormant. So we’ll move on, just keep going and see where we go.”

For six weeks, the star had to travel daily from his family home in Kent to Guy’s Hospital in London due to fatigue radiation session – get any respite on weekends only.

At one point, his weight dropped by a third, to just 7 lb.

“Those were the darkest days of my life,” he said. Going up there and lying under those radiation machines was horrible. So terrible. Incredible.

“You’re thinking, ‘Is this any good? Does this make a difference? Is there any use in doing this if I’m going to die? I don’t put myself through this’.

He added: “And chemotherapy is brutal. I wouldn’t wish that in anyone. “All he kept saying was, ‘I’m scared,'” Kelsey said. “But I said, ‘I know you’re scared, but we’ll get through this.'”
