It is reported that Odudu was on crutches after suffering a leg injury, but no further details are known.
However, after appearing on Strict‘s companion program It takes two On Wednesday (December 15), Odudu confirmed that she was “unable to stand.” [her] right leg” and now uses crutches to walk.
Struggling to hold back tears, she said: “I’m so sad that I’ve been traumatized. I don’t know when it happened but basically I have a problem with my business.”
She said she suffered a “traumatic” injury to her ligaments, adding: “I can’t pinpoint when it happened during training.”
“The pain came on so suddenly and so intensely that I literally vomited,” said Odudu.
She said she remains hopeful that she will be able to perform in the final on Saturday (December 18), saying: “We have three great dances that we really want to perform. I really hope. ”
“I was surrounded by a really great medical team who were doing their best to get me back on my feet, and I had Kai. [Widdrington] who is really holding me together. ”
If Odudu can’t perform, she’ll finish in third, leaving EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis and former British Bake Off great winner John Whaite to compete for the Glitterball trophy.
