“I would like to issue a brief statement addressing the outcome of today’s trial.

“I will now take a moment to rest and recuperate, before making any further comment on this matter.

“I am extremely disappointed with the ruling that denied my application to the court to review the decision to cancel my visa, which means I cannot stay in Australia and participate in the Australian Open.

“I respect the Court’s decision and I will cooperate with the relevant authorities regarding my departure from Australia.

“I’m not comfortable with the focus of the past weeks on me and I hope that now we can all focus on the game and the tournament that I love.

“I wish the players, officers, staff, volunteers and fans of the tournament all the best for the tournament.

“Finally, I want to thank my family, friends, teammates, supporters, fans and Serbian people for their continued support.

“You all have been a huge source of strength to me.”
