UPDATE 3:10 PM PT – Sunday, December 5, 2021
Former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens (R) said he supports the Second Amendment and any legislation that increases self-protection.
In a recent interview, the current US Senate candidate made it clear that he is the strongest supporter of the Second Amendment. This came after his opponents announced that he opposed the state’s “Second Amendment Act”.
This measure prohibits any federal law restricting gun ownership and the ability of Missourians to enforce any law or action that violates Second Amendment rights. The Republican added about his support for President Trump and his policies regarding gun laws and law enforcement.
I 100% support the Second Amendment Preservation Act.
The do-nothing establishment RINO and the lobbyists will never really support the Second Amendment to protect your gun rights. Don’t be fooled. pic.twitter.com/JV56mJF5k5

Greitens discussed his campaign further and said if elected he would not support Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), adding that Republicans don’t need him. He also highlighted how Congress needs to get rid of Senate RINOs like McConnell and others who don’t represent the party’s values.
I’m the first person in the country to say that when I’m in the Senate, I’m voting for new leadership.
No more RINO. I don’t vote for Mitch McConnell. pic.twitter.com/qqsxG25gOr

The former Navy Seal went on to highlight how he wants to do more to protect the American people from vaccine missions, foreign threats and the open southern border. He also added that the US military is at risk of losing troops because of Joe Biden’s federal vaccine mission.
Meanwhile, the former governor said he is ready and committed to fight for a seat in the Senate.
