See For Me trailer teases home invasion movie led by Skyler Davenport

IFC Films has released the trailer for See for me, a new horror film will debut on streaming platforms and in select theaters in early January. Led by a blind actor Skyler Davenport, the film is about a housekeeper who has to deal with a home invasion with the help of a stranger on a mobile phone app.

The trailer reveals that See for me It can be a terrifying experience as we step into the shoes of a girl named Sophie, who must fight for her survival without being seen. All the help she can get comes from an app that allows a volunteer to become blind to help with simple tasks. Fan The Flash will realize Jessica Parker Kennedy as Kelly, the character must be Sophie’s eyes to help her live longer in her situation.

Candlestick See for me meet the thrilling promise of the trailer, it could be another great addition to home invasion movies like Panic room, Stranger, Fun game, and Silent.

See for me is also another title that offers a step up in terms of on-screen representation. Top star Davenport identified as non-binary and was declared legally blind due to a rare neurological condition and after suffering a stroke that left them with permanent vision loss. Davenport has done extensive dubbing work for almost a decade and played trivia in hit movies like Pokémon Master, One mouthful, Hunter x Hunter, Berserk, and Kakegurui. They have also voiced in popular video games like Final Fantasy VII, Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs, and Judgment lost. In an official statement, they stated that they “look forward to working on projects that deliver empowering messages to the masses and lovingly alter old-fashioned narratives in the process.”


Helming See for me director Randall Okita, who made his directorial debut with 2016 Lockpicker. See for me premieres in select theaters, digital platforms, and VODs on January 7. You can check out the trailer and poster below:

Sophie, a blind young woman who lives in a remote mansion, finds herself being invaded by thieves while looking for a safe. Her only means of defense: a new app called “See For Me”. It connected her with a volunteer around the country who helped her survive by seeing on her behalf. Sophie is connected to Kelly, an army veteran who spends his days playing first-person shooter games. Sophie is forced to know that if she is going to survive the night, she will need all the help she can get. A teenage girl who is blind but not so helpless after all.
