“The song has a unique lifecycle compared to my other releases,” says Yatra Billboards. “It is growing slowly and steadily, and the music is speaking for itself. It’s a different style from what’s going on in the music scene, so I know it’s going to take a while, but good songs always go to heart.”
“Tacones Rojos is not a reggaeton,” Yatra added. “It’s a pop song, it’s a high-tempo track and it’s fun.”
With the move, Yatra collects her number 13NS top 10 out of 26 entries, six of which have reached number 1. His most recent is “Pareja del Año,” with Myke Towers, (counting Aug. 14) remaining in the top 10 of the table. ranked with 29 weeks out of 32 weeks running (and continuing to rise; currently at number 10). With “Tacones” climbing to the top 10 in just its third week, it’s the fastest promotion in the region for Yatra.
“Tacones Rojos” grew with a 32% increase in audience impressions, to 4 million, earned for the week ending November 28, according to MRC Data, delivering a 45-34 increase in total Latin Airplay numbers.
“I think this will be a song that will stick in people’s hearts for a long time,” he said. “I love seeing how people interpret songs through challenges on TikTok and Reels and I can’t wait to remix the song soon, hopefully with an Anglo-speaking artist.”
