Former Gogglebox star Scarlett tells how she convinced her best friend Jenny Flemming to get the ink during a lavish night out in Turkey.
“We were on vacation in Turkey,” she said.
“We were pretty drunk and I said, ‘Why don’t we all get tattoos? “
The idea was that Jenny would have “Don’t Stop Believin'” tattooed on the back of her neck, after the two friends fell in love with the song Journey when it was featured on Glee.
Scarlett admits that she scribbled what she thought was the name of the song on a piece of paper for the tattoo artist – but in deep awareness admitted that the details of the night were a bit blurry.
She added: “It was around 3am. I think we might pay the tattooed man with a kebab, I can’t remember.
“At 3 a.m.” Believin “is a difficult word.”
The next day, when Scarlett was putting perfume on Jenny’s back, they discovered her ink actually appeared: “Don’t stop bellending”.
Luckily, Jenny was able to see the funny side and actually kept the tattoo.
She added of the wild night: “We were supposed to go out for a barbecue and Scarlett took me to the tattoo parlor with a drag queen.”
Last month The Sun revealed Scarlett will be returning to our screens to preview a documentary about the rise in cases of Tourette’s syndrome and tic disorders in adolescents.
During the pandemic, doctors have seen an increase in the number of young people suffering from these diseases.
In Channel 4’s new show Scarlett Investigative, she’ll try to find out why, in what’s become a personal journey.
“This is something I feel extremely passionate about as I suffered from a facelift when I was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy as a child,” she said.
“I wish there was this kind of information and education in those days, because it was something so many young people had to deal with.”
