Salsa lovers, rejoice: The Spanish broadcasting system is out Radio the station in Miami will play salsa music all the time, Billboards have learned.
Salsa 106.3FM, which begins airing November 25, targets South Florida Hispanic adults ages 18 to 34 and demographics 25 to 64, swinging salsa gems from icons like Marc Anthony and Oscar D’ Leon to a newer generation of tropical artists like Luis Vazquez.
The all-new station, with the tagline “Donde la Salsa Vive” (where salsa lives), becomes the second SBS Radio station to broadcast a market-specific genre, after Puerto Rico’s Zeta 93FM salsa station.
“It’s a different station from all the others on the market and fills the demand,” added Salas. “Salsa music spans decades and hundreds of proven super salsa hits. It has been a success of salsa. “
Salsa 106.3FM now complements three other SBS radio stations, L Z-92.3 FM (Adult Contemporary Spanish and News), El Zol 106.7 (Tropical Latin Urban and Top 40) and Ritmo 95.7 (Cubaton y mas).
