How does John Kramer live in Saw X?

John Kramer (played by Tobin Bell) is alive during the events of Saw X, as the film is actually both a sequel to Saw and a prequel to Saw II. The film takes place between the first two films and can be viewed as a kind of Saw 1.5, if you will.

The first act of the film describes John as having only months to live after being diagnosed with advanced brain cancer. Since he desperately needs more time, he undergoes a mysterious treatment in Mexico City, which Dr. Pederson launched.

But he soon comes across a despicable plan and decides to punish those who have wronged him.

John remembers the franchise and dies during the events of Saw III. Saw IV begins with its autopsy, which establishes how the following chapters are structured.

Who is Henry Kessler in Saw X?

However, his life changes when he meets Henry Kessler, who is also present at the meeting. He explains that he doesn’t have much time left either, and so John is later surprised to see him arriving at a café in good health.

The couple sits down and Henry explains that he received an experimental treatment from Dr. Pederson gives him the phone number where he can contact her and promises him that he is committed to his recovery.

Henry is played by Michael Beach and this is the character’s franchise debut. The name is given some importance in the cancer support group scene, as the character reappears in later events of Saw X.

Saw X opened the box office over the weekend

Saw X grossed a total of $29.3 million at the box office in its opening weekend.

The film grossed an estimated $18 million domestically and another $11.3 million overseas, making it a bigger opening weekend financial success than “Spiral,” the ninth installment in the Saw franchise.

The film opened exclusively in cinemas on Friday, September 29, 2023, but was not yet available to stream.
