Sam Raimi Says Any ‘Spider-Man’ Movie He Directs Must ‘Be With Tobey’

Sam Raimi worked on Sony’s Spiderman trilogy in the early 2000s, however Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness marked his first directorial work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, fans have been wondering if he would be willing to direct future projects in the MCU. Some have even questioned whether he would tackle another Spiderman Movie. However, it appears Tobey Maguire would need to be wearing the suit for this to happen.

Although Sam Raimi led the team led by Tobey Maguire Spiderman trilogy, he hadn’t previously directed for Marvel Studios Doctor Strange 2. But apparently, his return to the superhero genre turned out to be a positive experience. Not only did moviegoers appreciate Raimi’s first foray into the MCU, but the director himself enjoyed working on it the continuation.
