Natus Vincere (NAVI) dominated a lot of CS:GO tournaments last year, with a huge contribution from their star player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. In a recent interview with Dot Esportss1mple addressed this GOAT status given to him by the community, while reiterating the team’s goals for 2022.

Majority of the CS:GO community has started to recognize s1mple as Counter-Strike’s GOAT, now he’s finally won a Major title for which he was even awarded the MVP (Most Valuable Player) ).
However, s1mple is different from public opinion. The 24-year-old when sharing his thoughts on this topic said, “No, I don’t think so.”.
Further explaining his answer, s1mple explained that if only considering his personal performance then yes, that GOAT status is very relevant. On the other hand, in terms of achievement or even overall performance, it’s still a no.
He further elaborated on NAVI’s goals for the 2022 season. Comparing himself to Astralis, s1mple said, “We aim to win more Majors and more titles, because there’s a team that’s won four Majors and we definitely want to win at least two or three.. “
