Rylan angrily replied to the troll, appearing to target celebrities “plastering” their support for refugees on social media.
The presenter has kept his Twitter feed free of political messages – instead offering mild relief to fans as the conflict rages on 2,000 miles away.
Rylan told fans he was considering getting inked after returning from a fun weekend in Paris with his family.
“I think I want a tattoo…” he wrote.
“Is that midlife or…”
A troll replied: “People are dying in Ukraine and you don’t give a damn about dreaming about tattoos. Grow up.”
Refusing to let the troll get away with his comment, Rylan asked, “Do you have any idea what I’ve done for the cause?
“No because I don’t feel the need to spread it all over social media so thanks and take care have a great evening.”
Over the weekend, Rylan gave fans a rare reminder of his singing voice, which took him to the X Factor series ninth live shows.
He posted on his Instagram Stories as he and mum Linda got together for a fancy meal on Saturday night.
The sweet video saw the mother-son duo sing along to Dean Martin’s Sway while sitting at the table sipping wine.
Alongside a series of laughing face emojis, Rylan captioned the video “fuck it” as he joked about Linda’s singing ability.
“Shimmy!” He could be heard encouraging his mother in the background before taunting her through giggles: “Actually no — don’t tremble.”
Rylan could be heard in the background showing off his singing talents years after he found fame with The X Factor.
