Rudiger ‘the perfect contract’, Elanga and Ronaldo deals ‘the reason Haaland started playing football’

Rudiger ‘perfect’ for Reds

Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker believes Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger would be the ‘perfect signing’ for his former club.

The German centre-back, 28, is out of contract in June and is attracting a lot of interest from across Europe.

Despite many negotiations, the star has yet to reach an agreement with Chelsea.

Speculation has mounted that Real Madrid are ‘push’ to seal a free transfer move for Rudiger with Paris Saint-Germain also interested.

But Parker, who spent five years at right-back for United, has urged his former bosses to make a move of their own for him.

And he explained that he believes a partnership between Rudiger and Raphael Varane at the back can help the Reds return to challenge for the title.

Former England player said betexpert: “If he stays at Chelsea. He is very influential and fans idolize him.

“Going to Manchester United, I have to say it was an ambition. I will understand why he wants to and I think he will make a difference.

“If you have him next to Varane, you are talking about something different. The pace is good and you’re talking about someone who has won the World Cup, the Champions League and then you have a centre-back, who in classical parlance is really a leader. ”

Parker added: “He was literally screaming and shouting, fooling people, giving orders to people.

“When people don’t do it, he tells them because he himself doesn’t make that many mistakes. He keeps things simple. He will be absolutely perfect.

“It all depends on whether he is ambitious or not. Does he want to go to Manchester United and be the difference-maker at the back?
