Romantic ‘Star Trek: Picard’ goes where Picard has never been before

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – After a successful first season, the sci-fi drama “Star Trek: Picard” returns to see its iconic hero, played by British actor Patrick Stewart shoulder, boldly go where he’s never been – start a relationship.

However, his old nemesis, the god-like Q, awaits in his wings and once again intends to test Picard.

Also returning to the series is the popular “Star Trek” character, former Borg Seven of Nine drone, played by Jeri Ryan, who has his own issues to deal with in this installment.

“This character has been so beautifully written and so beautifully developed that I don’t really feel the need, except on rare occasions, to walk in and say ‘Oh you know, I don’t know what she does. right,’” Ryan said.

“It’s unusual and I’m so lucky to be in this position.”

The second season of “Star Trek: Picard” begins airing on Paramount+ on Thursday.
