Romano claims Liverpool called late Tuesday night about a move to the key Manchester United target

Fabrizio Romano claims Liverpool pondered the signing of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat until late Tuesday night.
Liverpool have been eyeing a deal to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat as Manchester United stall a potential move.
This is acc Fabrizio Romanowho has spoken on YouTube about Amrabat’s future and a possible move to Liverpool.
Amrabat was a hot name on Wednesday night, a Dutch newspaper reports Algemeen Dagblad hinted that Liverpool are “on track” to sign Amrabat.
It has been claimed that Liverpool had agreed a deal worth around €35m (£30m) to sign Amrabat.
However, Romano has quashed those rumors and explained the state of affairs.
Romano claims these reports from the Netherlands are untrue but Liverpool have been talking late Tuesday night about signing Amrabat.
It is said Liverpool wanted to find out how much a deal would cost, both in terms of Fiorentina’s demands and the salaries Amrabat needs.
According to Romano, Liverpool haven’t made any offers to either Fiorentina or Amrabat while the Reds weigh their options.
Romano adds that Amrabat agreed to a move to Manchester United almost two months ago but the Red Devils are still out of contract – and this delay means Liverpool may have a chance.
“There were rumors about Amrabat on the way to Liverpool in the Dutch media. As far as I know, that’s not the case today,” Romano said. “What happened is Liverpool called Amrabat’s side last night (Tuesday) to find out about the terms of the contract so Liverpool know how much it will cost to sign Sofyan Amrabat on a club and player side. ‘ – Now it’s up to Liverpool, they haven’t made an offer to Fiorentina and they haven’t made an offer to the player.”
“Right now Amrabat stays in his position, he said yes to Manchester United at the end of June but it’s also been two months of waiting and waiting and waiting so it’s up to Manchester United now; Amrabat is waiting for Manchester United but now they have to make the offer,” he added.

Don’t be surprised if Liverpool join Sofyan Amrabat even after the Wataru Endo deal
Liverpool have been linked with every defensive midfielder lately as he missed out on both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia at Chelsea.
The Reds now appear close to signing Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo.
Athletic’s David Ornstein claims Endo has a medical appointment with Liverpool today after agreeing on a shock £16.2million deal.

Endo, 30, was underestimated during his time at Stuttgart but few could have foreseen a move to Liverpool.
It’s hard to imagine Liverpool pinning all of their defensive midfield hopes on Endo and we could see yet another signing there as the Japanese star doesn’t break the bank.
Amrabat could be that player; Signing him on top of Endo for £30m would still be cheaper than just buying Lavia.
Liverpool could go in a completely different direction after the Belgian’s absence and unless United make the move to Amrabat soon Liverpool are good to go.
