Robert Pattinson teases ‘strange’ and ‘personal’ Batman story

Robert Pattinson teased Batman both a “strange” and a “private” story.

Matt Reeves’s portrayal of The Dark Knight looks dramatically different from anything we’ve seen before. While Zack Snyder’s take on the character has seen him interact with fantasy elements of the DC Extended Universe, Reeves’ interpretation seems to be grounded with The Caped Crusader’s forte as detectives. The footage we’ve seen of Robert Pattinson’s Batman teases a lone and lone vigilante, one who’s still trying to be the hero of Gotham.

Audiences clearly want something new as the movie is slated to open for epic numbers when the movie hits theaters at the end of next month. With a great box office, the sequel, or next part. While the future of Batman is uncertain, it is safe to say that DC and Warner Bros. have in hand a potential brand. On the other hand, Robert Pattinson had a hard time watching the movie adaptation as a feature-length film.

Speaking to Total Film magazine, Robert Pattinson teased Batman’s story was both “weird” and “personal,” which he believes will make it difficult to follow.

“When I saw it for the first time, even from the very first shot, it felt so different, in timbre, compared to other movies. And it was so weird, and kind of… So sad, and quite touching. It’s a really, really unusual Batman story, and it’s hard for me to imagine it becoming a series after that. I mean, they always have a little bit at the end, something like: ‘…and coming!’ But other than that, it feels strangely private. I think people will be quite shocked by how different it is.”
