Rita Moreno says she used Elvis Presley to cheat on jealous Marlon Brando

Rita Moreno said she used Elvis Presley back at Marlon Brando after he cheated on her.

Moreno, 89 years old, appeared on To watch while promoting her role in the Steven Spielberg remake West story, which happens 60 years after she appeared in the original screen version.

Discussing being cheated on “constantly” by Godfather actor, who was in a relationship with her for eight years, Moreno said: “I found underwear in his house and of course, I was heartbroken, and I went home in tears. Really, I was so naive – and I was also very angry, just angry.”

Luckily, she said, the next day, she was contacted by a representative for Presley.

“The next day, the phone rang and I heard, ‘This is Colonel Parker, my client is Elvis Presley, and Elvis spotted you on the 20th Century Fox committee, and he likes what you do. he saw. And he really wants to see you. Would you like to meet him?’

She added: “And I thought about those panties, and I said, ‘Yes, I will.'”

Moreno went on to date Presley “several times”, saying she found him “sweet but boring”.

Her relationship with Brando began after they met on set in 1952 Desirée when she was 22 years old.

Talk about their time together in Netflix documentary Rita Moreno: Just a girl who decided to go for it, Moreno said: “He was the father I could not be pleased with. I didn’t know it – I wasn’t aware of it at all.

“But he’s someone I want to please, he’s someone I want to marry.”

She previously called him “my great love in my life”.

Brando died on July 1, 2004, at the age of 80.

West story premieres in cinemas on December 10.
