West Ham United are currently in talks to sign former Arsenal centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart.

Sheth reports that West Ham are currently in direct talks with Stuttgart over a deal to bring Mavropanos back to the Premier League.
The Hammers are fast approaching their next top target for the centre-back after a deal with Harry Maguire fell through on Tuesday.
Despite agreeing on a transfer fee for Maguire, the Manchester United defender is unlikely to join West Ham this summer.
That means West Ham must now switch to another option as a centre-back, with Mavropanos now seemingly becoming the new focus.
Tim Steidten, West Ham’s new technical director, was last at Leverkusen and may know Mavropanos from his Bundesliga games at Stuttgart.

Mavropanos could well be tempted by a move to West Ham, having previously joined Arsenal in London.
The Gunners opted to sign Mavropanos from PAS Giannina in his native Greece in January 2018. I’m only paying £1.8m.
However, Mavropanos only made eight appearances for Arsenal as he struggled to get through at the Gunners.
After a loan spell at Nuremberg in 2020, Mavropanos was on loan at Stuttgart for two years before finally winning the move just £3million last summer.
Mavropanos has been crucial for Stuttgart and has even shown his goalscoring abilities with eight goals in the last two seasons.
Mavropanos was a 6ft 4in defender Hailed as “fearless” by Ian Wright during his time at Arsenal, but it just wasn’t to be.
Mavropanos could now have another chance to shine in the Premier League and possibly show Arsenal what they’re missing.
