Report: Tottenham in touch to sign another homegrown star alongside Brennan Johnson

Tottenham Hotspur are in contact with Chelsea over a late deal with midfielder Conor Gallagher traveling through London.

Conor Gallagher remains the subject of huge interest from Tottenham Hotspur as the transfer deadline nears.

This is acc Sky Sportswho report Tottenham are still trying to secure a deadline-day deal for Gallagher.

It is claimed that there were indeed contacts between the two clubs with the idea of brokering a deal.

However, it is likely that Tottenham will have to sack players before they can make an acceptable offer for Gallagher.

Gallagher trained at Chelsea as usual but the Blues were able to sell as the midfielder was already in the final two years of his contract.

Luring Gallagher away from Chelsea doesn’t seem easy considering he’s been with the club since he was eight.

However, Spurs seem hopeful and could be pushing to take Gallagher across London before the window slams.

Tottenham also want Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly but fell through with an opening £20m bid according to The Athletic.

All of these players would add to Tottenham’s regular squad following the arrival of James Maddison earlier in the summer.

Whether Spurs can seal all of those deals is another question, but Tottenham appear to be focusing on homegrown talent in the final hours of the window.
