Report: Tottenham are now ready to fight Bayern Munich for an ‘extraordinary’ £50m player

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to take on Bayern Munich in a bid to sign Conor Gallagher.
This is according to a report by The guard.
It is said that Bayern are interested in Conor Gallagher as Thomas Tuchel is eyeing a reunion with his former Chelsea player, but Tottenham are ready to give them some competition with a late midfielder move.
However, Gallagher could cost Spurs some money as the same outlet claim Chelsea value him at £50million.
Despite a willingness to sell the 23-year-old, Gallagher was a key player for Mauricio Pochettino early in his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
The Englishman has started all three of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far and even captained them in last night’s 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Conor Gallagher could be a good replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Hojbjerg’s future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is in doubt at the moment. According to the Daily MailThe Dane is currently in talks about a possible loan move to Atlético Madrid.
If he leaves then it makes sense to bring in Gallagher who could be a solid replacement.

Gallagher would need little time to settle in as he already has extensive Premier League experience. He too has learned to deal with the pressure of playing at a top club after finally getting his chance at Chelsea last season while showing he is a midfielder who can score goals.
While on loan at Crystal Palace in the 2021/22 season, the England international scored eight Premier League goals, which is pretty good for someone in his position.
Tuchel has described its development as “extraordinary” and he has time to develop even further, perhaps at Tottenham if Ange Postecoglou and the north London club have their way.
