It would make sense for Brighton to continue developing Ferguson and help him establish himself as one of the Premier League’s best young forwards and then sell him in a couple of years.

The Seagulls could have gotten significantly more transfer fees then than they do today.

Ferguson himself might not be interested in a move to Tottenham at the moment.

After all, Brighton are on the road to success and are playing wonderful football.

And the Seagulls rely on young players.

Ferguson has made 20 Premier League appearances in his career so far.

The forward has scored six goals and provided two assists in those games.
